กล้องดิจิตอล LUMIX FX48 มีความละเอียด 12.1 ล้านพิกเซล พร้อมด้วยเลนส์ LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT มุมกว้าง 25 มม. และออพติคอลซูม 5 เท่า ด้วยคุณสมบัตินี้ทำให้กล้องดิจิตอล LUMIX FX48 สามารถบันทึกภาพได้ในมุมที่กว้างกว่าเลนส์ 35 มม.ทั่วไป และยังสามารถบันทึกภาพในระยะไกลโดยที่ภาพยังมีความคมชัดได้เป็นอย่างดี

ระบบบันทึกภาพเคลื่อนไหว คุณภาพแบบ HD และ HD Output

กล้องจะบันทึกภาพเคลื่อนไหวด้วยความละเอียด 1280 x 720 HD ที่ 30 ภาพต่อวินาที เมื่อถ่ายภาพเคลื่อนไหวเสร็จแล้ว เพียงต่อกล้องดิจิตอลเข้าทีวีระบบ HD ก็สามารถรับชมภาพนิ่ง และภาพเคลื่อนไหวด้วยคุณภาพความสวยงามระดับ High –Definition จำเป็นต้องใช้สายเคเบิ้ล DMW-HDC2 (เป็นอุปกรณ์เสริม)
